1. Introduction
These Terms of Sale govern the use of the services provided by Makebook. Registering for and using the platform implies unreserved acceptance of these terms.
2. Services provided
Makebook is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool for creating, storing and exporting ebooks generated with the help of artificial intelligence. The platform allows export in PDF and EPUB formats.
3. Access conditions
Use requires creating an account with a valid email address. The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to use the service in compliance with applicable laws.
4. Payment and Subscriptions
Payments are processed securely by our partner Stripe. Subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary date and can be cancelled at any time from the account area. Credits granted by a subscription are valid until the end of the billed period: they renew at each billing date and do not carry over. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
The purchase of credits is final and non-refundable, because the service is performed immediately.
5. Intellectual property
The user retains full ownership of the ebooks generated through Makebook. The user is the sole holder of the rights to exploit, reproduce and sell these works.
6. AI clause and Limitation of liability
Makebook uses artificial intelligence models (via OpenRouter) to generate content. Makebook is not responsible for the generated content, its accuracy, or any potential infringement of the copyright of pre-existing works. It is the user's responsibility to check and edit the content before any publication or sale.
7. Termination
The user may close their account at any time from their account area. Closing the account immediately deletes the account and associated content from our active databases (and within 30 days from technical backups), in accordance with our privacy policy.
