Back cover blurb
The presentation text on the back of a book (or on an ebook's product page), designed to make people want to buy it.
It's often the most carefully worked, and most underestimated, text of a self-published book: it has to hook in a few lines, set out the book's promise (what the reader will learn or experience) without giving away its content, and end on a reason to act.
On online retail platforms, this text becomes the product description: it is also read by internal search engines (Amazon, Google Play Books), making it a visibility lever as much as a sales argument.
